Seafood products are a delicacy and protagonists of many preparations. Seafood, fish and lobster are served fresh and are caught a few hours before being served at the table. Bananas, cassava, rice, and beans are the usual accompaniments to these foods.

The town of Guna Yala has many festivities. One of them is the Feast of the Needle (Ico-Inna), which takes place within the family and is celebrated by piercing the girl’s nasal septum. Another popular ceremony is the Inna Suit, the Hair Cutting Ceremony, in which the entire community participates. It celebrates the haircut of a girl between 8 and 10 years of age and lasts 3 days. It is led by a Gandur (Singer), who gives a name to the girl who, at the end of the ceremony, must wear a scarf that covers her head.

The best known dance of the Gunas is called Chachachá or Noga Gope and both men and women participate in it. The celebration of the dance is quite an event for the population and a competition is held where the winning group is chosen. The women play the maracas and dance to the music and the men wear straw hats with different colored bird feathers.

After receiving the 30% deposit we’ll send you a confirmation voucher.
The only payment accepted is bank wire transfer or cash.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Should the CHARTERER cancel before the charter term begins, deposits will be refunded under the following conditions; If the yacht is rebooked for the same period or portion thereof Deposits paid will be refunded pro rata, less a cancellation fee of 20%. If rebooking is not possible, no refund will be made. If the OWNER cancels, the OWNER shall reimburse the CHARTERER, through the BROKER, for all deposits paid as of cancellation date, and pay BROKER’S full commission. Cancellations by OWNER or CHARTERER are to be in writing through the BROKER and acknowledged by both parties. In case of Covid restriction impeding the charter the paid amount will be totally considered as deposit for another charter to be scheduled in the following 18 months.
